That failed miserably in the marketplace?

I don't think any awesome option failed quite as miserably as GM's Quadrasteer.

I was wondering what happened to that feature. I saw an ad for it 10 years ago, and I haven't heard, or read of it since.

Amazing feature the quadrasteer, but it was too expensive for a novelty and had a tendency to, um, not work.

Quadrasteer was the best. I put countless miles on Denali, 1500 and Tahoe XL 2500 models with Quadrasteer equipped. Sold countless units to soccer moms who were dead-set on it being "too big of a truck" when I took them to the local Hobby Lobby parking lot and said "If you can turn in to a curb, you can walk away from this deal okay?"

I love that tech. I hope someday for its resurgence. I will buy a Quadrasteer Denali someday soon

In 1969 an option was available on Camaros that had canister of liquid deicer and tubing that routed in front if the rear tires. They pulled rather quickly because street racers now had a portable burnout box.!

You could throw NC8 in there as well. Bad ass, but was pulled pretty quick due to the law.

Got to love outside-the-box thinking. I've heard about this before. Sadly, anything with a tank to be refilled short of a windshield washer seems to be asking too much of the consumer, see also the Turbo Jetfire's fluid injection.

Yeah. But it was ok on a corvette. The 4th gen GMMG camaros had chambered exhaust. I put it on my 98 SS and it sounds amazing.

TEMS in the MKIII Supra (In the US. The Soarer/Celsior, etc got it in Japanland)

Kinja'd!!!

Offered 3 suspension settings: Normal, Sport which tightened up the suspension, and a 3rd mode automatically activated when going WOT, turning fast, or braking hard. It was amazing tech for the time, but alas a good set of modern coil-overs out performs it. Go figure.

Cadillac had Night vision in 2000. Discontinued around 2004, just as the Germans started using the tech.

The mechanical four wheel steering in the 3rd Gen Prelude was amazing. Incredibly simple and useful. Then they went and mucked it up with a non reliable electric version in the 4th generation.

Clamshell Tailgate. Not so much a failure, it just never caught on.
